Editorial

road.cc's editorial team is a roll call of the finest cycling media talent from the last 25 years. Tony Farrelly, Dave Atkinson, Mat Brett, Jo Burt, David Arthur and John Stevenson are some of the most influential and widely respected writers in cycling.

Our reviews are renowned for their depth, knowledge and integrity.

Independent

road.cc is an independent publisher fuelled by enthusiasm and a true passion for cycling, not a global corporation with shareholders to satisfy. Our commitment to you is to over deliver on editorial excellence and customer satisfaction. We firmly believe that our independent approach and distinctive voice creates a unique relationship with our readers, one from which our advertisers benefit.

Content

Buyers' Guides and reviews now account for over 50% of the page views on the site. These figures are evidence that people use road.cc as an essential part of their buying path. When you also take into account that over 65% of exits from Buyers' Guides go straight to a retailer, you can see that road.cc offers a compelling platform for retailers.

We can now offer partners the opportunity to be involved in a number of buying related editorial pieces. Much as we protect our independence, we don't pretend readers aren't interested in buying products. We have created DealCatcher articles that connect your offers directly with our readers. There's a twice weekly round up of the best offers available in retail, and also a Takeover where we feature the best offers from one particular company.

Team road.cc

In 2015 we started recruiting members for team road.cc. Our plans in 2016 are to increase our member base to 1000. Partners can access our members by sponsoring events and rides, or offering specific deals; we're open to ideas too. We work with our partners to create compelling events to reach these highly influential cyclists.

Re-targeting

We are now able to offer clients the option of re-targeting.

This works via a cookie that tracks visitors to the site, and what they look at. We can then target those visitors with your advertising when they visit other websites. It's possible to target readers of specific sections of each site, such as bike reviews or buyers guides, or to be even more specific: for instance, we can target people who have looked at articles that mention your brand name, or a competitor’s brand. We can also target specific geographical areas for you, and we can use demographic tools to target users who are similar to the users in your remarketing list.

Please contact Elaine, Pat or Simon to discuss how this extremely effective tool can work for you
